How to Drive Traffic to Your Coaching Website

Creating a gorgeous website for your coaching business is only part of your website process, the next step is getting people to your website. Driving traffic to your website is going to help you build your audience and connect with ideal clients. Your website is the first step towards building a relationship with your potential clients.

There’s this misconception that if you create a website people will magically find it. While this is somewhat true, there are a lot of things you can and need to do to get more people to your website. In fact, I had this conversation once with a fellow entrepreneur who paid big bucks for a new website and couldn’t understand why she wasn’t making sales.

And the thing is it just doesn’t work that way.

Don’t get me wrong. You will get the best results from focusing on SEO. That’s definitely the most important aspect, but there are small ways to make sure you are taking advantage of all avenues.

You have to put a little bit of effort in and the results will be …well, probably small at first, but consistency and even doing these small things will add up big.

Here are 5 simple way to drive traffic to your coaching website.

1- Add your website link to your email signature.

Seriously, a client of mine just told me that someone read her blog from click through her email address!

Simply add a clickable link to your website in your email signature. This will show every time you send or reply to an email. Sure it looks silly when you’ve sent a million back and forth replies but when you are emailing a new contact it makes it easy for them to click over and check out your website.

Add this to both your work email and personal email addresses. It doesn’t have to be fancy.

2 - Link to your Facebook business page in your personal Facebook account.

Make sure to link your Facebook business page to your Facebook profile to drive more traffic to your website and business.png

This is a must! Your personal Facebook page needs to link to your Facebook business page. When you are commenting in Facebook groups or your friends are tagging you when someone is looking for a coach, the people seeing your posts need to be able to find out more about you and your business! You need to be stalk-able! ;)

3 - Send potential clients to your website.

You want to get in the habit of using your website as the hub of your business. When someone wants to book a call, send them to your website NOT your scheduling website. When someone has a question that you’ve written a blog post about, send them to the blog post.

Anytime you can send someone to your website, do it!

4 - Collaborate with other business owners

You’ll see the best results from doing this! Collaboration with other business owners, writing guest blog posts, or doing podcast interviews are the best way to get yourself in front of a new audience!

Collaborations are great for both business owners. You are helping their audience learn something you are an expert at and they are letting you “borrow” their audience!

This also works the other way. You can ask other people to guest post for you and still get more traffic to your website.

5- Share your blog posts and content to Pinterest.

Pinterest is one of the best ways to get more traffic to your website. Pinterest works like a search engine, potential clients will go to Pinterest to find your services or blog post topics. To take advantage of this you’ll want to share “pin-able” images to Pinterest consistently.
